CW Casting Announcements

Fall television season is underway, and next week the CW will jump into the fray. I figured I would post some news I have found about new characters coming to the net this season. Spoilers are here!

TVLine announced that The Vampire Diaries has cast Nathalie Kelley (Unreal) as a new antagonist, Sybil, otherwise known as evil herself. Former Containment stars Kristen Gutoskie and Demetrius Bridges are also joining the show as Alaric’s new nanny and intern. There have also been rumblings that Nina Dobrev will return for this, the show’s final season, and possibly bring Katherine over to New Orleans to serve as a new antagonist in The Originals.

If you’ve been following Supergirl news at all, you’ve almost certainly hear that former Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin will show up as Kara’s cousin Clark Kent. Also joining the show is Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor, sister of Superman villain Lex, according to TVLine. The show will also see former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter appear as the president and CW veteran Chris Wood show up as a mysterious DC character. Spoiler TV revealed that Dichen Lachman, formerly of The 100, will play DC villain Roulette.

The Flash has announced some new antagonist for the coming third season of the show. Spoiler TV reports that Awkward star Ashley Rickards will play The Top. The site also announced that CW mainstay Grey Damon will play Mirror Master, with the duo serving as a sort of Bonnie and Clyde pair to torment Barry and his friends. Spoiler TV also revealed another antagonist for our merry band of heroes will be Magenta, portrayed by Fargo star Joey King

Finally, TVLine has revealed that the 100th episode of Arrow will see the return of Deathstroke, who will play a role in an epic crossover between the four DC superhero shows on the CW. However, it remains to be seen is Manu Bennett, recently seen on The Shannara Chronicles, will reprise the role or if someone new will play the villain.
